Quick cutout checklist before export
Before you download, spend thirty seconds on this checklist. Most “bad PNG” complaints are issues you can see in the editor if you look once on purpose.
Use this after the automatic cutout and any brush fixes. For the full step sequence, see Remove a background from an image step by step.
1. Subject completeness
- No missing fingers, straps, thin legs, or logo corners.
- No “eaten” highlights that should belong to the subject.
- Multi-subject frames: confirm you kept the subjects you need.
2. Background leftovers
- No islands of wallpaper, sky, or table texture in open loops (handles, letterforms).
- Soft edges: hair and fur look intentional, not like a cardboard stamp.
- Hard product edges: no jagged stairsteps where the silhouette should be clean.
3. Preview on two plates
- Checkerboard (transparency).
- A flat light and a flat dark fill if your destination is a solid plate.
- A halo that appears only on one plate is often leftover backdrop color in semi-transparent edge pixels — see Halos after export.
4. Destination fit
- Listing template or slide: transparent PNG vs flat brand color — pick deliberately (When flat color export beats alpha).
- Email or docs: confirm the client supports alpha, or bake a white plate.
- Print/sticker: leave enough clean margin; do not crop into the blade path.
5. Export hygiene
- Download from the clean master in the editor, not from a screenshot of the result.
- Prefer PNG when you need transparency.
- If you refined edges, export again after the last brush stroke — do not reuse an older download.
6. One-image discipline
Easy Background Remover is built for careful one-image passes. If you are rushing a catalog, still open each export once. A skipped check on SKU #12 costs more time than the checklist.
