Replace the background with color, gradient, or image
Transparent cutouts are not always the end state. Listings want white. Thumbnails want a soft gradient. Sometimes you already have a scene plate. Easy Background Remover lets you preview those without leaving the editor.
Checker vs fill
- Checker — shows real transparency. Use this when the next tool in your chain expects alpha.
- Color — flat plate (presets or a custom pick). Classic for catalog white/gray.
- Gradient — linear or radial, with stops and angle when you want a bit of depth behind a product.
- Image — upload a backdrop file. If it fails to load, try another file; the editor will say so.
Suggested order
- Get a clean mask first (refine if needed).
- Switch from checker to color and confirm silhouettes still read.
- Only then try gradient or a busy plate — busy plates hide mask mistakes until export day.
Export reminder
Download PNG after you like the preview. A screenshot of the UI is not a substitute; you will pick up chrome and checker tiles you do not want in the listing.
