Transparent PNGs can get large because they store a full alpha channel and often avoid the aggressive compression JPG uses. Bu normaldir. You can still keep files reasonable without destroying the cutout.

Pixel dimensions. A 4000px product shot is heavier than a 1200px listing image even with the same subject.
