Troubleshooting
Work through the section that matches what you see. Most issues are boring: network on first download, an unsupported edge case file, or a mask that needs brushes — not a mysterious cursed install.
First launch stuck on model download
- Stay online until the splash finishes.
- Retry after a flaky connection; the download can resume on a later open.
- Confirm you have disk space — the model is not tiny.
“Failed to load image” / decode errors
- Try PNG or JPG export from the source app.
- HEIC/HEIF can fail on unusual files; re-export from the phone as JPEG once.
- Huge or corrupted downloads from the web sometimes fail; save locally and open again.
Processing failed / worker error
- Reload the editor tab and try one smaller image.
- If every image fails, restart Chrome once (extensions and workers get wedged more often than people admit).
- Note whether failure is instant or after a long hang — useful if you send feedback.
Edges look wrong but processing “succeeded”
That is usually not a crash. Use Refine brushes. Softness helps hair; small Erase removes leftover backdrop.
Download or copy failed
- Allow clipboard permission if Chrome prompts for Copy.
- Try Download PNG instead of Copy (or the other way around).
- Check that the OS disk is not full.
History entry incomplete / will not open
Start a fresh process on the file (Process again if prompted). History is a convenience cache, not archival storage.
Context menu image will not load
Some page images are blocked by the site’s CORS rules. Save the image, then drop the file into the editor — the UI mentions this path when it applies.
Still stuck after that? Use the extension feedback flow if your build includes it, and include the approximate Chrome version plus whether first-run download already finished.
